Following Wesley's 3 General Rules helps to provide a whole and holy picture of a disciple of Christ. However, even John Wesley had a difficult time faithfully following them all, which gave a picture that may have been full of holes. If we commit ourselves to these General Rules, then the world that is watching will see the whole picture.
